The building to be constructed in Príncipe Real respects the architectonic characteristics of the surroundings but necessarily updates it to the modern demands.
It is a three storey house. In the ground level we can find a parking garage, a living room connected to the patio and a laundry room. The first level has the kitchen, the dining room and a room with wc. The last level is the private area of the house: two suites and a closet.
In order to relate visually and acoustically the two first levels, we have decided to create a rip in the slab.
The ground floor of the western façade is the base. It is covered by wooden strips that hide the entrance. The upper level windows have a simple design and the materials chosen are the same of the level above.
The south has the same style: a huge window allows the relation between the living room and the patio and the strips are here used as a shade.
The location of the upper levels windows, reflect the live in the indoor spaces. In the living room we can find a rectangular opening along the floor and, in the kitchen, a large window nearby the balcony, both provided to relate the indoor spaces with the outdoor patio.
