Estoril Open is the only portuguese event in the world sporting calendar that takes place uninterruptedly for 23 years and has been, throughout this period, an important vehicle for the promotion of Portugal in the world.
The proposal has as main objective the rehabilitation of a significant part of the Jamor’s sports infrastructures (about 25 hectares) and the creation of a worldwide class tennis complex that comprises a multipurpose stadium for 8,000 people and the transformation of the former stadium "Centralito" in a multipurpose space for up to 3,500 people. In addition, we propose the creation of a new road network, parking infrastructures and landscaping throughout the complex, enriching Jamor.
The tennis courts will be rehabilitated, new indoor facilities that promote the practice all year long will be built, as well as, 6 padle courts, a new sports activity that is rising all around the world. The proposal also includes a sports academy, a technical area and other infrastructures that complement the complex.
It is intended that this will be a sports facility of excellence, especially for the practice of tennis, where young national and international talents can practice.
